Description
This one-of-a-kind mushroom painting was created with natural clay I personally dug from the banks of the Aroostook River in Caribou, Maine.
Painted by hand on 5 x 5 inch Arches paper, the river clay creates soft, earthy tones and subtle natural variations that make the piece impossible to duplicate exactly. Rather than simply depicting nature, this artwork was created with a material gathered directly from the landscape itself.
The finished painting has been protected with Krylon UV-resistant clear spray and is presented in a hand-cut double mat with an approximately 8 x 8 inch viewing area. It is finished in a 10 x 10 inch wood frame and arrives ready to display.
