Welcome to Riverbed Art
Nestled in the heart of Caribou, Maine, Riverbed Art is a tribute to the beauty found in nature’s remnants and the quiet stories they carry. For nearly two decades, we’ve searched the riverbed of the Aroostook River—gathering beach glass, driftwood, pebbles, and forgotten treasures. Each piece is shaped by time and water, each with a story waiting to be told.

Our Mission
At Riverbed Art, we aim to create pieces that inspire connection, evoke joy, and celebrate the human spirit’s resilience. Each artwork is a blend of nature’s remnants and heartfelt creativity, reflecting stories of transformation and hope.
Meet the Makers

Kim Chabre

Luc Daigle
The quiet strength behind the scenes—helping collect beach glass and driftwood, maintaining the website, shipping and capturing the journey through video and photography.
Together, we bring the river’s beauty into homes across the world—one piece at a time.

The Journey
In 2019, life presented an unexpected challenge when I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer.
During the long hours of chemotherapy, art became my refuge—a way to process, to heal, and to find moments of joy in the midst of adversity. Even after treatment, the creative journey continued, helping me navigate a new diagnosis: multiple sclerosis in 2022. Through it all, art has remained a constant—my strength, my outlet, and my way to connect with others.

Materials Used
Riverbed Art grows from a deep connection to nature and a love for craft. Beach glass, driftwood, pottery, and pebbles are hand-collected from the Aroostook River in Caribou, Maine. Each piece is chosen for its natural beauty, texture, and story.
Every original blends mixed media—archival ink, Winsor & Newton gouache, watercolor, pyrography, and found elements from nature.
Curious about the materials? Read more in this blog post.
Prints and stickers are produced in-house using archival inks on our Epson SC-900 and fine art paper. Each item is carefully inspected and thoughtfully packaged before it ships.
