Description
The Lake House is a one of a kind woodburned sign made from Aroostook River driftwood.
I burned the words The Lake House and a small cabin scene by hand onto a weathered 19th-century roof shingle found in the Aroostook River in Caribou, Maine. The wood carries the texture and character of its past. I applied a matte UV-protective finish, added a natural cotton hanging rope, and signed the back with its Riverbed Art and river origins.
