Description
First Christmas is a handmade birch ornament featuring a baby deer and botanical details.
I cut, dried, and sanded the birch slice, then woodburned and painted the design by hand. The birch came from trees that had died on our property in Caribou, Maine. I finished the ornament with a matte UV-protective spray, signed the back, and added a brown hanging ribbon.
