Description
Blue Chickens & The Yellow Coop is an original piece from my ongoing Aroostook River Illustrations series, where my drawings are brought to life with natural materials I collect along the Aroostook River in Caribou, Maine.
I created the yellow coop illustration by hand, then added two pieces of cobalt blue river glass that I found along the Aroostook River. Their shapes became the chickens, turning pieces shaped by the river into part of the story.
No two pieces of river glass are exactly alike, which means the materials in this artwork can never be duplicated in quite the same way.
