The Invisible Artist with an Invisible Illness is a whimsical, personal piece by Maine artist Kim Chabre. A quiet ghost (the artist herself) stands beside a piece of artwork she created, perfectly content to let the art have the attention.
There is humor in the little ghost and her creation, but there is also a quieter story beneath it. The piece was inspired by what it means to be an artist living with an illness that isn’t always visible to the people around you. It doesn’t tell the whole story, nor is it meant to. Like much of Kim’s work, a little bit of that story simply found its way into the art.
This reproduction is printed with archival pigment inks on Epson Premium Luster paper and carefully mounted by hand to a finished black panel. A UV-resistant matte coating provides additional surface protection while preserving the character and detail of the original artwork.
