Description
The Breast Cancer Tree is an original Aroostook River Illustration featuring a pink glass tree on a softly painted green hill.
I used Depression-era rose glass collected from the Aroostook River in Caribou, Maine to form the tree. Hand-painted autumn leaves surround it, with a few drifting through the air. Created to honor those diagnosed with breast cancer and remember those who have died, the scene carries a quiet message of strength, hope, and remembrance.
The 5 × 5 inch artwork is double matted and presented in a 10 × 10 inch gray wood frame with an 8 × 8 inch viewing area and a glass panel, ready to display.
